Metallized Film?

Metallized film vacuum-deposits a roughly 30–50 nm aluminium layer onto PET or BOPP. Despite the thin layer it gives a strong barrier — much lower oxygen and moisture transmission than the base film — at lower cost and higher line speed than foil lamination. Service runs roughly −70 °C to +150 °C, including hot-fill at 85–95 °C for juices and jellies. The high-gloss silver look suits beer, spirits, and beauty.

Choose metallized film when you want both a metallic look and a genuine barrier without the cost of foil lamination. It prints, but the surface needs corona treatment first, and the aluminium layer can crack when folded — MetOPP is the more flexible of the two. For a raised, decorative metallic accent rather than a full metallic face, hot-foil stamping is the complementary technique.
